ORCHidea is an annual international free entrance trade-show dedicated to the world of orchids and rare plants that takes place in Pistoia, at the MATI 1909 Center.
Two days entirely dedicated to these unique and fascinating plants, during which you can not only buy Orchids from Italian and international exhibitors, but also find what is necessary for the care and maintenance of the specimens and participate in seminars and conferences on the subject, all for free.
The trade-show also offers visitors the opportunity to visit the Mati center and buy specimens of the vast collection of roses, flowers, herbs and shrubs for outdoor use in the exhibition rooms adjacent to the trade-show.

Entrance fees, seminars and conferences are completely free of charge. The participation to the photo contest, organised in order to select the most beautiful and significant photo among all the shots to make it the symbol of the next edition of the trade-show, is also free of charge.

WHO AND WHERE
ORCHidea is organised every year by MATI 1909, a group of companies from Pistoia, leader in the production of ornamental plants, in the design and carrying out of gardens, in the organisation of events and in the promotion of a proper culture of green. The event takes place in collaboration with AIO - Associazione Italiana Orchidologia, A.M.A.O. - Associazione Meridionale Amatori Orchidee and SFO - Società Felsinea di Orchidofilia.
NUMBERS AND TARGETS
The ORCHidea trade-show, now in its fourth edition, is aimed at all orchid lovers, rare plants and plant lovers in general.
Last year it was visited by more than 5000 people from all over Tuscany.

Near the Mati 1909 Centre there are many interesting cultural and tourist attractions for those who want to expand their knowledge of the historical and architectural heritage of the city of Pistoia, capital of culture 2017, and home of the most important nursery district in Europe.
